Paleo Parsnip Chip Recipe
We all know a bowl of deep-fried potato chips is the best for an evening of football match. Unfortunately, the only thing that this starchy, oily snack does is to increase our waistlines. The healthier alternative would be this Paleo Parsnip Chip Recipe. Parsnips are higher in dietary fiber which decreases risk of high blood cholesterol and diabetes. It is also richer in folate which aids metabolism and helps prevent cancer, depression, and loss of hearing as you get older. The high potassium content, on the other hand, is important for cardiac, skeletal, and smooth muscle functions.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F. Prepare a 10x15-inch rimmed baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- Pour oil over parsnips and toss to coat. Stir in half of the salt and all of the onion powder and then toss once more until parsnips are coated evenly. In your prepared baking sheet, assemble the parsnips in an even layer.
- Bake parsnips for about 30 minutes, until soft, turning just once. Remove from the oven and drizzle the remaining salt and the parsley on top.
- Serve immediately
