Broccoli may look like cute, miniature trees, but they pack big surprises when it comes to health benefits. The high glucoraphanin content decreases chances of gastric cancer, while the vitamin C, zeaxanthin, beta-carotene, and lutein wards off free radicals that causes damages to our cells. The high levels of both vitamin K and calcium prevent osteoporosis and promotes bone health.

Instructions
  1. Make the dressing: Combine your favorite paleo mayonnaise, honey, and balsamic vinegar in a bowl. Set aside dressing.
  2. Prepare a bowl of ice water. Fill pan with salted water and bring to a boil. Add broccoli and cook for 1 minute, then submerge into the ice water to stop the cooking. Dry the broccoli by patting it with paper towels and slice the florets into bite-size pieces. Put broccoli pieces in a serving bowl.
  3. Stir in raisins, almonds, and onion to the broccoli in the serving bowl. Pour the dressing and toss with the salad to coat well. Chill for 1 to 2 hours before serving.
  4. Toss again and serve cold.
